We were fortunate enough today to have been able to participate in the “Play it Safe in the Water” program – a program run by Life Saving Victoria which promotes safety in and around the water. The workshops that all studentrs took part in were:

  • DRABCD Awareness
  • Body Boarding Skills
  • Rescue Skills ( Rope and Reach Rescues)
  • Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs)
  • Danger Awareness

All students that took part in this program now have a better understanding of water safety through the activities in which they participated.

It was a littlle chilly, but apart from the shivering, most looked like they had an enjoyable time!

Our new stick insects arrived during this week. Their names were voted in as Marlie and Sticky. We are hoping these two last longer here at school than the previous two did. Hopefully moving them to a new position in the room will fix this!

Marlei and Sticky - our new arrivals this week!

Welcome to the Grade 5/6 – 13 blogsite. This is all relatively new to me and I will be learning as I go along. I hope to update the page regularly. By reading the blog you will have a better understanding of the school day of your child.  Feel free to leave any comments. I hope to look at and respond to the blog every few days – wish I had the time to do it each day, but alas, I do not!  ENJOY!
